When Will The Fifth Season of The Last Kingdom Hit the Screens?
What’s on Netflix is a good place to start.
Fortunately for all of the fans, Netflix has officially confirmed the release of Season 5 of The Last Kingdom. Despite the lack of a release date, Netflix confirmed that the fifth season of the British TV series will be the last and final season. The first four seasons of the television series aired on an irregular basis.
Seasons 1 and 2 of the show were initially broadcast on the BBC in October 2015 and March 2017, respectively. Three years later, in 2018, the program was picked up by the well-known streaming site Netflix, and the show has only been available on Netflix since the third season. Seasons 3 and 4 debuted in November 2018 and April 26, 2020, respectively. With such a trend of release dates, predicting the release date for season five is a little tough.
The projected delivery date was originally set for April 2021, however because to the pandemic, that date was pushed back. The fans then anticipated that it will be released in late 2021; however, it is now evident that this is not the case. The fifth and last season will presumably air in early 2022.
Who’s in the cast of The Last Kingdom Season 5?
We won’t be seeing Ian Hart’s Father Beocca this season since he died in the previous episodes. Toby Regbo’s Aethelred, Cnut (Magnus Bruun), and Steapa (Adrian Bouchet), who we lost in the previous season, will be with him. Fortunately, we’ll continue to see Alexander Dreymon since the Last Kingdom would be incomplete without him.

Eliza Butterworth also said that she will return for the final season. In addition, actor Adrian Schiller will return his part, although it will not be for a long time in the season, as he revealed in a public statement.
What Could Happen in Season 5 of The Last Kingdom?
Season 5 will depict Uhtred discovering his destiny beyond Bebbanburg, according to an official description released by Netflix. He will begin to glimpse England’s future. Cornwell’s final five Saxon Stories books will provide the bulk of the plot for readers.
