In the anime Naruto, Jiraiya dies in episode 271. He is killed by his own technique.

Jiraiya dies in the episode Pain.

Jiraiya is a crucial character in the Naruto series because he has a significant impact on Naruto’s life. Fans like the character despite his faults, but the tale of when and how he dies, as well as whether or not he ever returns to life, has nearly everyone perplexed.

Jiraiya dies in The Tale of Jiraiya the Gallant, episode 133 of the series, thus he dies very early in the narrative. Naruto, on the other hand, learns of his death in episode #152. “Somber News” is the title of the episode.

If you want to understand more about this incident and how it affected Naruto and the rest of the series, keep reading.

Jiraiya, what happened to her?

Jiraiya, a hermit and great ninja talent, traversed the globe in search of knowledge that would benefit his friends, the many books he authored, and, after his death, the whole world – knowledge that would be handed down to his godson and ultimate pupil, Naruto Uzumaki.

Jiraiya was his usual gregarious self, making jokes at his own expense and then laughing heartily. He enjoyed seeming haughty or selfish in his interactions with others, causing them to get agitated so that he could further agitate them with his humor.

Jiraiya’s greatest contribution to the world may have been his abilities as a teacher, which he himself lacked. Jiraiya would teach three of history’s most powerful shinobi, Nagato, Minato, and Naruto, instilling in all three his belief in the shinobi spirit, driven by the prophesy that he would one day find the world’s savior.

Jiraiya showed a genuine love for Naruto and went out of his way to make sure he treated him like a father figure rather than simply a teacher and student, even purchasing ice cream for him to enjoy when Naruto was sad since he didn’t have a family.

Even as he lay dying, Jiraiya’s last thoughts were of Naruto, to whom he had entrusted the world’s salvation. Jiraiya’s spirit would use its last moments before leaving for the afterlife to slap Naruto on the shoulder in a final act of affection in the anime.

Despite the fact that the Konoha Cryptanalysis Team is unfamiliar with Jiraiya’s code, deciphering Jiraiya’s dying message becomes Konoha’s top priority. The code’s key can only be deciphered by Naruto, one of Jiraiya’s closest friends: Icha Icha Tactics.

They come up with the phrase “the real one isn’t among them” by picking the first word on each page Jiraiya chooses. When the Animal Path is investigated and the Ame ninja is questioned, Jiraiya’s words becomes clear: the Six Paths of Pain are controlled remotely by Nagato, a main intelligence.

The Assault on Konoha has already started by the time this is found, but Naruto, having killed all six Pains, is able to use the information to find and meet with Nagato. Naruto also uses Jiraiya’s legacy and lessons to assist Nagato realize his own impact on their former teacher.

Naruto is heartbroken when he learns of Jiraiya’s death and tries to blame it on Tsunade since she left him to fight Pain alone. Naruto understands that by fighting Pain, Jiraiya has given him time to prepare for his own battle with Pain; he uses this time to learn senjutsu, which, along with the information Fukasaku has regarding Pain’s abilities, enables him to defeat the Six Paths of Pain.

Jiraiya’s Cause of Death

While the Eight Man Squad is still on the job, Jiraiya approaches Tsunade and tells her that he has discovered the whereabouts of Akatsuki’s leader; however, he refuses to give her any more information unless she joins him for drinks.

Jiraiya reports on the ongoing civil war in Amegakure, which the Akatsuki leader is accused of inciting. Because Amegakure’s political situation is unstable, Jiraiya must infiltrate the town on his own before Konoha may intervene. Tsunade feels terrible for relying on him to do such a dangerous task over and over again, and then offers to help him if he needs it. He informs her that she can’t simply leave the village since she’s the Hokage, but she replies that Naruto will undoubtedly succeed her.

Jiraiya says that since he believes Minato to be his son, being with Naruto is like being with his grandchild when they speak about Naruto. Jiraiya departs, but not before informing Tsunade of Danzo Shimura’s presence.

While Jiraiya and Akatsuki leader Nagato were battling, Nagato unleashed his Six Paths of Pain, which even an experienced ninja-like Jiraiya couldn’t handle. During the battle, Nagato’s Six Paths of Pain severed Jiraiya’s arm and crushed his throat before repeatedly impaling him in the back with a torrent of black chakra rods.

In the last moments before he died, Jiraiya used his last remaining energy to scrawl a coded message on the back of his toad friend Fukasaku that would provide Naruto some clues as to Pain’s real identity.

Jiraiya dies in which episode?

Jiraiya dies in Naruto: The Tale of Jiraiya the Gallant, episode 133, which takes place during the Tale of Jiraiya the Gallant arc. It translates Naruto manga chapters 380 to 383 into a film.

Jiraiya is murdered while trying to discover more about the Akatsuki by entering the Rain Village. Pain summons the Six Paths of Pain to stop him from entering the hamlet and defeating Jiraiya’s sage form. As he lay dying, he entrusted Fukasaku with relaying information to the Hidden Leaf about a revelation about overcoming Pain.

Jiraiya notices that one of the Paths looks like Yahiko and wonders whether Pain is Yahiko or Nagato, as well as why there are six Rinnegan wielders; on the other hand, Pain simply proclaims that they are the Six Paths of Pain and attempts to murder Jiraiya.

With his Barrier: Toad Gourd Prison technique, Jiraiya captures the Animal Path and hits it with his Rasengan, knocking it into stomach acid. The Path stabs Jiraiya in the arm and chest before it dies.

As the Path’s forehead protection comes off, he notices a scar on it and knows it’s a man he’s fought before. Jiraiya attempts to dismiss the Two Great Sage Toads by instructing them to transport the Animal Path’s corpse to Tsunade so that they may learn more about Pain. Shima chooses to do it alone, but Fukasaku refuses to let Jiraiya alone.

Jiraiya studies all of the Paths’ faces as he reaches the surface and realizes that he has met each and every one of them previously.

He deduces Pain’s identity, but one of the Paths crushes his neck, and the six Paths impale him through the back before he can alert Fukasaku. When Jiraiya’s neck is crushed and his heart starts to fail, he knows he is dying.

He thinks on his past, particularly his rejection by Tsunade and the fact that he did not die a lovely death like the Hokages the Third and Fourth. In his dying moments, he remembers Minato and his wife Kushina requesting Jiraiya to be Naruto’s godfather and if they may name him Naruto after Jiraiya’s novel’s protagonist, whom Minato loved for his never-say-die mentality.

Jiraiya claims that he cannot give up like his teacher since Naruto never gave up because it was his ninja way. While battling for his life, Jiraiya uses his Finger Carving Seal to carve a coded message about Pain’s true identity on Fukasaku’s back.

The Six Paths of Pain attack the pair, but Fukasaku escapes, while Jiraiya drowns. As he fades from view, he declares Naruto to be the true Child of the Prophecy, and that the sequel to his book will be titled “The Tale of Naruto Uzumaki.”

Tsunade sits on a cliff near Konoha, looking down at a river and a frog. Naruto comes to a stop when he feels Jiraiya’s arm on his shoulder, oblivious to the fact that light from above beams down on him.

Tobi tells Konan that the recovery of the Eight-Tails has been assigned to Taka, Sasuke’s team, proving Sasuke’s dependability and success.

Naruto is awakened in the village later in the episode by Kakashi, who tells him that Tsunade has called him. As he enters Hokage’s office, he sees Gamabunta and Gamakichi and wonders why the two toads are there and why Kakashi is quiet.

Inside Tsunade’s office, he is soon greeted by Fukasaku, one of the Two Great Sage Toads and Jiraiya’s personal master. Fukasaku refers to Jiraiya as a boy throughout their discussion, which offends Naruto, and the toad thinks it funny that Naruto refers to Jiraiya as a pervy sage. In contrast, Fukasaku tells Naruto that Jiraiya died in his fight with Pain.

Naruto is saddened and unable to reply when Kakashi inquires about Jiraiya’s death. According to Fukasaku, Jiraiya learned that Pain, the Akatsuki’s leader, was operating out of Amegakure and decided to attack the town to confront him.

When Jiraiya and Pain met, Jiraiya learned that Pain was his former student Nagato. Kakashi and Shizune are taken aback when Fugasaku reveals that Pain, along with five others, has the Rinnegan.

Shizune says that it was formerly thought to be a legendary dojutsu possessed by the Sage of Six Paths, and he can’t believe there are six Rinnegan wielders in the world.

Tsunade is blamed for Jiraiya’s death, leading Naruto to remind her that she should not have sent him on such a dangerous mission in the first place.

As he walks away from Tsunade, he tells her that if Jiraiya had been the Fifth Hokage, he would not have sent her on the same mission. As he walks away, Kakashi attempts to apologize to Fukasaku for Naruto’s actions, but the sage toad tells Kakashi that he can see how much Naruto cared for and loved Jiraiya, and that he believes, above all, that Naruto is the Child of the Prophecy after seeing how much Jiraiya meant to him.

Naruto recalls several memories of Jiraiya as he returns home at the conclusion of the episode.

Despite this, he appears in Boruto, but it is subsequently discovered that the character is not really him. Kashin Koji is later shown to be a clone of Jiraiya later in the series.

Jiraiya was one of the few characters in Kabuto’s Edo Tensei’s Fourth Great Ninja War who did not return. Although Kabuto was told that in the manga, resurrecting Jiraiya was not necessary, the anime stated that his corpse was irreversibly lost after falling into the sea.

In some manner, Amado has obtained a sample of Jiraiya’s DNA. It’s unknown if he recovered the ninja’s whole corpse or built Kashin Koji from a smaller sample Jiraiya left behind.
